Group: Member Post Group: Working Member Posts: 136 Status:	Chennai, 28th April 2009 : The annual Summer races for both 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers will be held on this weekend at the Irungattukottai race track here in Chennai. The event is run by the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) under the aegis of The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). The four wheeler category will see the entry level Formula Maruti cars race and races for the Maruti Esteems 1300 cc cars prepared under the Rally Star Cup regulations. The tyres will be controlled tyres as supplied by the organizers. The official practice will be at 1000 hrs and the qualifying session at 1400 hrs each day. There shall be two races held on all days i.e. 1st May to 3rd May.The entry fee is fixed at Rs.500/= per race. For the 2 wheeler category, the bikes will be provided for by the Club on payment of the Rs.750/= entry fees. TVS Motor Company have provided these bikes to promote racing.
