I have given this feedback to Pramod of mmsc several times to no avail, nevertheless i'll put it up here anyway so its logged. For the Coimbatore rounds of this years Group D 4st upto 165cc races, Intermediate and Expert class races were held seperately and rightly so. Finally when the races came to Chennai, both the Intermediate and Expert grids were combined, the excuse being there was not enough time to hold both the races seperately. Now in the past Novice and Expert grids have been combined and it had worked out because the experts would clear off in one lap and novices would be left to fight amongst themselves, so there was never an issue. This year however things were a little different. The top 3 Intermediate riders were as fast as the experts and even faster on some occasions. Due to this the races became a mess with expert riders coming in between Intermediate riders who were fighting for position and vice versa. How did this affect me and whats my complaint? Well in the end we had race teams purposefully taking advantage of this situation and expert riders who had intermediate teammates in the same race started using their greater experience to block other intermediate riders in order to give an advantage to their own teammates. To be honest i lost my championship because of this. I'm not bitter or anything, in fact i'm actually quite happy with my results, but i have to ask, is this fair? Isnt the whole point of having an intermediate class so that 'intermediate' level riders can race together on a level platform? In the end it was just an expert class race with some intermediate riders unfortunately caught up in between for no fault of theirs. Next year i move to expert so this isnt a concern for me anymore, however i'm making this post and giving my feedback in the hope that some intermediate rider doesnt have to face the same plight next year.

Cheers!

I agree with you.  The races should be held separately, and in particular during the end of the season when every point becomes critical.  I feel the organizers, with their experience, should be able to space out the events between Saturday & Sunday, as most of the riders are doing practice from Tuesday at any track concerned.  We can only hope that this does not happen in 2009 season.
